Photo Challenge - Summertime

It’s time for us to kick back into gear our regular contests again and what better way than a photo prompt. As we roll through the month of August quickly begin approaching fall we find the kids headed back to school (if they haven’t returned already) and ourselves looking back over the summer wondering where it went.

That’s why this week’s photo prompt is as simple as can be, Summertime.

All you have to do is post a picture on our Facebook page of what summertime means to you. The fun thing about photo prompts is you can interpret whatever the prompt means to you. Just go through your favorite photos of the past few months and post the ones that screams “SUMMERTIME” to you.

On Friday we will pick one random winner to win a free 11x14 Aluminyzed photo (it does not have to be the photo you post for the contest)!

We will also choose one photo to be our new Facebook cover photo and that person will also win an 11x14! This means we reserve the right to the full size photo and the use of it to show off our Aluminyzed products (with credit of course).

Rules:

One post per person please.

The photo must be yours.

OK, so lets see what you got and celebrate summertime!

Aluminyze Your Favorite Vintage Family Photo

Most of us have photographs that mean the world to us. Pictures of our family, our children, our pets and places we’ve been and love. Some of the most treasured photographs we may have displayed on our wall are ones that were taken years before we were born.

Old family photographs tell the story of where we came from, who we are, and how we ended up where we are today. Pictures of immigrant family members who tell the tale of how our family came to the United States in the first place. Or long ago wedding photos of our great-grandparents tell the first chapter in the long story of how we came to be.

Your Favorite Picture of 2011

My name is Meghan Harvey and I am the new Social Media Manger for Aluminyze! This post represents my first official blog post on the Aluminyze blog. I plan on exploring a huge number of topics here on that will help you make the most of your Aluminyzed photos. Things like taking a great picture in the first place to choosing the right picture to Aluminyze and even where to display it, plus so much more.

Today we officially launch what will be a series of regular contests on the Aluminyze Facebook page. This week’s contest is “What Was Your Favorite Photo of 2011?”

Over the course of a year we can experience so many different amazing moments, sometimes big life changing ones (weddings, graduations, new baby’s etc.) and sometimes small moments that touch our heart (a smile, a sunset, a flower). The beauty of these moments in today’s world is that so many us are always armed with a camera and ready to capture those moments as they happen.

So this week we ask you to peruse the moments you captured on camera during 2011 and share your favorite with the Aluminyze Facebook community by posting the photo on our page. The photo with the most likes by 8PM EST/5PM PST on Friday January 20th will have their favorite moment of 2011 turned into an 11X14 Aluminyzed photo with their choice of a wall float or pedestal.

~And remember, one photo per person please~

For my first post on the blog I thought it would be only appropriate for me to share MY favorite picture of 2011. Though a lot happened for my family and I in 2011 one of the busiest and most captivating was baseball season. Specifically Little League, which our son played during the 2011 season (and will again come March 2012).

I happened to capture this picture of my son towards the end of a long game. It was just one of those picture perfect moments that I was so glad to capture with my camera. I don’t even remember if they won or lost that game, just that moment standing in the warm spring sun in the outfield watching my son play ball.

So now it’s your turn, head over to the Aluminyze Facebook page and share with us your favorite photo from 2011! And remember the picture with the most likes get their photo Aluminyzed!

And stick with us, because this is the first in many regular contests on the Aluminyze Facebook page.
